Couple of weeks ago, i was having a lunch with one of my friend in one of the malls in Bangalore. During the lunch my friend told me that he was looking for a particular book and when he couldnt find them in the book shelf, he was directed towards a person for enquiry. He certainly didnt like any human intervention in his search for the book. Unfortunately he was thethered with internet world on his blackberry yet had to resort to personal guidance. This is just one instance, many time despite we have all the power of internet around us we finally resort to human intervention for something which can be made available as "Value Add Application" by the retailer. It makes me believe that VAS is still an operator buzzword and many big retailers around us havent migrated to real definition of "Value Added Services"
