Though not a maharashtrian, i have a big bondage to this place in maharashtra where i did my engineering. Way back in 1990's, from chennai we used to take the mumbai based train, alight in solapur and travel in bus to this district which is 70 kms from solapur.
This district is close to Hyderabad and i wished why they couldn't connect a rail service from Hyderabad to Osmanabad.
Thanks to Lalu, this district is going to have a train service from Hyderabad and truly indian railways are connecting the "unconnected"
For the record, Osmanabad and Latur districts had the worst earth quake in 1994, the year i passed out.
